I’ll add 3 pt shooting as a point to watch.
Players who are due to break from the slump for the Spurs, Mills
for the Grizzlies, Jackson Jr, and Melton (an athletic bench guard).
Memphis has played well at home recently. I don’t place much stock on that at all, more important for me is their lack of maturity and youngsters feeling the pressure (the choking factor). Memphis lost a few close games to end the season as Morant can get careless. They aren’t yet at the level that they will inspire fear in a close game for me. So long as Pop isn’t guarding Morant with Mills in a close game I give the edge to the Spurs.
I have watched the Grizzlies to end the season in a few games and this is one game I am conflicted about. I like this team and want them to do well. Overall it’s a win win for me no matter the outcome so it’s going to be enjoyable. Winner will get massacred in the next game anyways (well most likely).
Thanks for the preview. It seems on paper and based on the season that Memphis' H/C advantage is perhaps insignificant, but I think it will be the deciding factor in a game that could very well come down to the wire.
- Above all else, the Spurs must play the guys down the stretch who have played the best for the majority of the game,
(sans DDR, DJ and Poeltl - the healthiest and most consistent players available based on the entirety of the season).
- Mills must be given a short leash (unless shooting absolutely bananas) as the athleticism and strength of the Memphis back-court will feast on easy baskets when he's in the game.
I expect Morant to play 40.

exactly. i don't expect the spurs to win for many reasons, one of which is that memphis is a bad match-up for the spurs. but i at least want the spurs to demonstrate heart and the ability to compete. don't pull a charlotte or westbrook.Just make a game of it.
Pop is probably more locked in on the post loss restaurant’s wine menu TBH.

Patty's recent struggles are especially unfortunate since I read the other day that he is responsible for something like 39% of the Spurs' three-point attempts overall.
