Honestly getting rid of him when we did was fine in retrospect. This dude was never going to be the next Timmy. So much wasted potential.

Kawhitter already bailing on Team USA . Like clockwork.

Nephew ing over the Spurs was the best thing that ever happened to us tbh. We landed Wemby because of it and don't have to deal with this loser's selfish shenanigans anymore. Watching him sit on his ass doing nothing while getting paid Max dollars and eating up our salary cap space the past 4 years would've been infuriating, especially come Playoff time, where he's guaranteed not to play. Good ing riddance tbh.

Apparently US Basketball and the IOC refused to guarantee Uncle Dennis his own gold medal, so he pulled Kawhi out.

For spurts in the regular season maybe. Come Playoff time, Kawhi would've been watching from the sidelines with the rest of us. Would've been the worst contract in the league, as it easily has been for the Clippers since 2020. Thank God it unfolded the way it did tbh.

He’ll play 65 games, because that’s what you need for awards and post season teams. Shows what a sham he is. In his post SA seasons when he played., he tallied 60,57,52,52. They ins uted a 65 game minimum, and suddenly he’s okay to play 68 games. What a loafer and faker.

Did he give a reason for his withdrawal? Are you supposed to give a reason?

They wouldn’t let him stay in SD and commute to the games in Paris.

While that statement suggests the decision was made by the Clippers and Team USA, Marc J. Spears of Andscape (Twitter link) hears from a source that Leonard’s camp reached out a couple days ago to USA Basketball to express concern.

Did Kawhi simply die recently and they won't admit it or something? Dude is dropping like a fly and can't even wipe his own ass at this point.

You can go ahead and count Kawhi out of the next Olympics too

They'll still be getting their 22nd opinion in four years

With the way Leonard is I was sorta shocked that he even joined the team to start with. He doesn’t come across as a guy who cares about stuff like that. He sits every chance he gets during the season when he’s actually getting paid. I wasn’t expecting him to actually want to play in a voluntary tournament team USA or not

As Screamin' A. has alluded to myriad times, he wants all the perks that come with being a James, Durant, Curry, etc., without the actual responsibilities of it.

This was clearly orchestrated beforehand for ego purposes so he could have the honor/status of being named and pretend he's part of the cool kids for five minutes, but just like all the seasons where his mental block/unwillingness to battle through adversity led to him quitting, he was never actually going to play.

After he's done stealing the $150M he has coming to him, I expect him to take his ball and go home for good.

For sure. He’s still an all time Spur for us but he would never be on the level of the other greats we had, the big 3, DRob and Gervin. Let’s hope Wemby is healthier and more loyal.

Honestly, he’s approaching the point where he’ll go into the Hall, but it’s questionable if it’ll be on the first ballot. He’s 32, and his career point total is 13937. That’s pathetic, and I hardly see a way to 20,000, with him being a giant vajayjay.
