I've noticed in life that when a woman uses the word "little" as a preface to anything she wants to gain approval for, she will gain that approval.

Example:
I just got a couple of little outfits today, honey.

Example:
I just went up to Baskin Robbins a got a little cone.

Example:
Can I have a little bite of yours? (insert charming smile)

There are many, many more examples and this can actually be slightly enhanced by adding "cute" as a prefix to "little".
