And if you look up the word "lame,'' there's a group picture of the San Antonio dancers next to it.
Maybe it's just watching a season's worth of the Mavs dancers that has made me jaded. Then again, it's been so long since there's been a home game, I almost forgot what they look like. Almost.
Damp's house
Early indications are that Erick Dampier's impressive play against Memphis was no fluke. At least if two blocks in his first three minutes mean anything.
Advantage, Mavs
Seems like pace of this one favors the Mavs, who are up 29-26 at the end of one.
Rest vs. rust
Eddie Sefko pointed out that teams that rest five or more days have a significant advantage over teams that come off off two days or less of rest. Rested teams are 8-1 in those matchups. The Mavs could make that 9-1 if the second half is anywhere close to the first.
Where's Duncan?
Duncan has just one point in the second half. This thing looks like 1-0 Mavs all the way.
Key D by Dirk
Dirk's stop on Ginobili on what seemed like an easy layup or dunk could be a game-changer.
What a finish
Ouch: Spurs played tight defense in the last seconds....and Jerry Stackhouse's shot from the corner was off. Spurs win, 87-85, in a classic. Tim Duncan has 31 points and 13 rebounds for the Spurs.
Dirk stopped
Nowtizki finished with 20 points and 12 rebounds and did not make a field goal in the final four minutes.
