One more chapter has opened in the troubled saga of ex-Spur Alvin Robertson, who was arrested early Saturday by San Antonio police and charged with evading arrest, violating a protective order and driving with an invalid license.
Robertson, 43, a round 1 pick for the Spurs in 1984, remained in the Bexar County Jail on Saturday in lieu of a combined $11,000 bond.
According to a police report, around 12:30 a.m. Robertson's estranged wife began flashing the headlights and honking the horn of her vehicle to get the attention of a police officer on routine patrol.
She told the officer that their son's keys had been taken, her home entered and five framed paintings taken along with her house keys, a remote to her garage and a remote to her gated community, the report said.
She said her property could be found at a residence in the 2900 block of North St. Mary's. Police went to that residence, where they found Robertson's car and the paintings inside, according to the report.
An officer then noticed Robertson jumping over a back fence and running through a yard. The officer called Robertson over, but the former Spurs All-Star kept running, the report said.
The officer then cut Robertson off on East Woodlawn, where he surrendered and was arrested on six municipal warrants and two county warrants, the report said.
Robertson was convicted of burglary in 1996 and has weathered a variety of other charges. He spent a year in prison in 2002 for violating his probation after being accused of sexual assault.

maybe it was not no necessary to call the police...looks like something "all in the family! I'm really sorry for Alvin..he was one of the best at his times and I would have loved to see him in our team with robinson (I still remember he was reqally disappointed when we sold him and "Cadillac" Anderson for mings).
money doesnt buy happiness if you are a in moron
