"There will be another night."
Longtime Spurs fans will remember that Stembridge, SA's first play-by-play man used to sign off his radio broadcast of the game with that line, and as a kid growing up here back in the day, it was that simple line that allowed the losing nites to not seem quite so bleak.
Driving home tonite from the game, no radio on, just thinking back on the game and the intensity and ferociousness of the Spurs second half comeback and what might have been, that phrase from years past popped into my head.
Losing sucks period, but the finality of losing an elimination game is tough because that's it, no more ball, no more Spurs 24/7....just like that.
But I know with guys like TD and Ginobili, having your season end like this is empty and hollow. And after a summer of rest and some work, they'll be ready to lace 'em up come October.
So yes, Spurs fans, despite the loss...there will be another night.

Anyone hear the gametime react on WOAI? Those guys didn't know and sounded like Mavs homers. God that pissed me off.
But to the point of thread, there will be another night, but frankly, I'm worried about Manu staying healthy. His game is too dangerous IMO
Manu's gonna fine. You probably can't count on him being a 10-12 yr player in this league though. But I dont care. I love the guy and his bent for lether style. It's who he is.
