Isn't he still under contract overseas?
Why dont we give this guy a try? alot of european experience....
anthony parker>tony parker, and they are not related.
Isn't he still under contract overseas?
You must be joking, right?
Do you really think he will come to NBA just to warm bench?
He is star in Euroleague, he´s not some young and inexperienced (spelling) player.
Next to that, I also think that he isn`t a PG. He`s basically a SG as far as I remember.
your parker hate is as outrageous here as it is on realgm.
I don't think he will want to sign esp as a scrub
I have no doubt Parker could play decent minutes for the right NBA team but I doubt he would come to the NBA at this point in his career...especially after what has happened with his friend Saras.
I think he'd play in the US again. He's pretty old at this point, though. And he's a SG, not a PG.
You have to admit though, it would be kinda funny to have an Anthony Parker and a Tony Parker. While you're at it, get Smush Parker so you can complete the set.
Can Parkers only be guards? Is this some rule?
Already said, but yeah, pretty sure he's a small forward/shooting guard. 6-6 and I think he's about 31-32 years old.
But, he is definitely a star overseas. I have read reports over the last year that he would consider playing in the NBA if the right offer came along. If he were to come back to play in the NBA, the best bet would be for the Toronto Raptors as they have playing time available at the shooting guard position and Colangelo has made the Raptors an international environment. Even though Parker is American, he's basically a Euro player.
Didn't Jasikevicius play on Maccabi Tel Aviv?
Yes...Thus the friendship between Saras and Parker.
Yes, I'm pretty sure. Former Michigan Wolverine Maceo Baston also played for Maccabi last season.
BTW, it's not like Parker hasn't ever played in the NBA, he has. He can play and score on anyone at any level.

Long article on him and the 3 or 4 NBA teams that have approached him this summer- the most serious of which is Toronto. Supposedly, he has informed Maccabi that he will not be playing for them next year- so he must be planning a buy-out.
As did Beno.
Parker is looking at/for 3 years, $10-12M a year. As has been demonstrated, that is well outside the Spurs' spectacularly tight-ass budget.
Anthony Parker is not 3rd PG material. He's starting SG material.
what? 10-12M/year? That's crazy. That would be enough to talk anyone back states-side. You sure about that?
That's what the DraftExpress article says. Says he's looking for a Saras Jasikevicius type salary. It's not so insane if you recall he's widely regarded as Europe's best player by a wide margin.
I would hope he meant $10-12 total for 3 years, $3-4 million per year.
Okay, I just read that Draftexpress article and it said 10-12 million dollar range...not 10-12 million dollars per year range.
$10-12 per year would be a $30-36 million contract. Jasikevicius got a $12 million contract.
Oh, sorry. My mistake. Didn't realize the typos. Also couldn't figure out why it was so unbelievable.

Cool. That reinforces my point.
