Put away the crack before the crack puts you away...
So I was wondering
If in 2010, what are the odds that 2 of these guys would end up on the same team?
More interesting would be is there a way to get all 3 on the same team?
1) Assume the cap goes up $3M/yr, as it did this year, so the cap in 2010 would be $65M
2) Assume the guys would be willing to take a less than max salary just to play with each other
3) They are all unrestricted free agents (which is my understanding)
I believe the Spurs will have some tradeable parts and expiring contracts, so we should be able to clear some cap room by then.
Under the salary cap, I think we could field a team like:
PG - Craig "the player formerly known as Speedy" Claxton (32 yo)
SG - Dwayne Wayde - $15M
SF - LeBron James - $15M
PF - Tim Duncan (34 yo)/Kevin Garnett (34 yo)- $5M [controversy]
C - Chris Bosh - $15M
That would leave $15M to pay Claxton (or any other PG) and 7 other players. Roughly $1.875M each.
Yeah it's far fetched, but within the realm of possibility. I believe the three main players are averaging $15M/year on the contracts right now.
I'd pay for season tickets then. Ahh, if wishes grew on trees.

is this guy related to fabbs?
This has to be the most pathetic thing I've read EVER on a forum.
quite possibly. this is why he was added to "the list"
Just when you think fabbs hit the forum plateau of thread usage. Thinking is now officially over-rated
This guy got ahold of some high quality acid
I like how he added Kevin Garnett in there for the MLE.
ing awesome.
I think their is a high probablility that we can expect more threads like this one. In fact, maybe we should make it a vBookie?
All I have to say is, why is Claxton on there? If this is fantasy, is there no other point guard? Where'd Tony go?
