...well, good luck Brutalis. my official prediction is:
USC 38
ARK 14
In a stunning 34-21 upset, the Hogs will overcome the Horses and ride them into the sunset.
I ask for this one time and one time only for Horns fans and Hogs fans alike to step into the small deadly line between us and cheer us to victory. If you are that brave and wish death upon USC I challenge you to it. As I rooted for Texas when they beat USC you guys must now return the favor.
DMac will start against USC, and as he did last year, will juke the brains out of a far less talented Horsie Sauce squad.
The heavens will open, the voice of the Razorbacks Paul Eells will smile on his Hogs and yell one last time, "OH MY! TOUCHDOWN ARKANSAS!"
Do it for him. Do it for the critics. Do it because the underdog has never looked so good.
22 days until we end you, USC.
WOOOO PIG! SOOIE! ARKANSAS!
My official prediction is that it will be close, and Arkansas will lead at the half by 10 or less, but USC will come back and win. USC will be given the le best team ever, and Booty will be on the cover of ESPN the magazine. They will then lose 2 or 3 games in the season. They will make it to a good bowl, and get beaten by a better team. Leinart, having suc bed to a career ending injury in October, will be there to declare that USC should still be #1 in the USA today media poll, and that they were the better team.
hmm...interesting. my prediction:
USC wins easily and goes on to have a wonderful season ending undefeated or with one loss. they go the national championship and win it giving them 12 national les in CFB. t.u. fans then realize the longhorns are not even a blip on the radar of what is great college football history.
Not this year, but they will win another within 3 years, book it.

I still am going to wait to see what the player inj list looks like the week of the game but....
Condoms only have a realistic chance if someone else beats ND, Buckeyes & Texas.
If someone beats the Buckeyes it will be Texas & then there is no one in the way of Texas once again going to win the BCS National Championship.
If the Buckeyes win @ Austin there might not be anyone in their way & they will play ND.
NOT SO FAST, MY YELLOW BELLIED, PEARLY EYED FRIEND!
OH boy, what a game we have in this one. Arkansas is lookin to come out and make a statement, make a STATEMENT, on the Men of Troy after that humiliating defeat they suffered last year. The fans in Fayateville have been tailgating in there trailer parks for a YEAR, in anticipation of this game! Darren McFadden is the next comin of Deion Sanders, DEION SANDERS I TELL YA! Despite all this however, i have to go with the scheming of Pete Carrol. when
you give the greatest coach in college football history, 7 months of preparation, heehehehehe lets just say that you have no chance my friend.
NO LENDALE, NO LEINART, NO BUSH? NO PROBLEM!
it will be close but the Men of Troy will win again!
( AU fans: booooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo
GO TO CORSO!")

This'll be almost as great as watching TCU beat Oklahoma in the first game of last season. I'm not sure if the Hogs can cover, let alone win though. It's still a 13 point spread, right?
Didn't McFadden have toe surgery from that barfight? Is he 100%?
It's 8 now and yes he'll play.
No way in the Hogs are losing by only 8 points against freaking Southern Cal, even at home. Sorry Brutalis.
edit - I will side with the Piggies when this game is on, like any other self-respecting Longhorn should do.

Ark. - UT was an old SWC rivalry, but I have no problem cheering for Ark. s.c.u. will have a good team, but I think the game will be close and ARk has as good a chance as any to win.
As much as I'd like to see the Pigs pull this on off, I'm gonna lay the number and roll with Pete Carroll in this spot.
Is DMc for sure for sure playing?
I wanna see that tall as & skinny as heck ARK WR pull in some passes when Condoms have to stack the line.
I think SC's o-line struggles vs Ark's D. Esp right up the gut.
Kalil has to support 2 kids & Byers has med issues as does JDB.
Gonna check every now & then with real SC alums & see what the word is....Not the hype, the true scoop.
IF JDB gets knocked out, Condoms will be used up.......literally. Sanchez has ZERO experience, off the field baggage & would be playing behind that same shaky o-line.
I still do like the over though if it stays in low low low 40s.
I think SC is going to barbeque the Hogs but I will be rooting for Arkansas.
not so fast my friend
he could be ready, but according to an espn article today it doesn't seem so.

"Arkansas coach Houston Nutt also said he does not expect running back Darren McFadden to play in the opener as he continues to recover from the toe surgery."
Could mean Ark passes too catch up or try to at least.
SC D gonna be tough.
Two benchies left the Hogs this last week, and injuries seem to be the story.
Casey is out, McFadden, and Vinnett doesn't look good. There's rumors they'll just go with Robert Johnson, the one that started last year. He looks good in practice but the problem is, HE ALWAYS has. Gamtime rolls around he crawls back into a little s . It's pretty much a toss up to be honest between Mitch and Robert. The mood has shifted into a ing reading rainbow learning time mindset. Like they expect to lose, and this is why Nutt has to go. He has a few injuries and if he wasn't already doubting a win vs USC he has pretty much downed the whole season with his at ude. Coaches can't do that, the most easy things to do that come natural to this job he can't even do right.
Under all the mess is a crop of soph-rooks on this squad. The offensive line is a lock, all we have to do is use it. Felix Jones will be alright in the opener. I say 15 carries for 90 yards and a score at the least. If Johnson starts at QB though it has to be a message from the coaching staff mainly HDN that they do not expect to win this game. Mitch is still getting used to the speed of Saturday night, and how fast DB's are getting to his throws. He's thrown a few bad INTs but some breath-taking bombs and accurate passes. To sum Mustain all up is something Arkansas hasn't had in a long time, and that's an honest QB. Couch, Manning, Eli, Green... Mustain will be a headliner for the SEC in time.
One positive on a side note is like I said the OL. Our LBs are fast, typical HDN style of a fast hard hitting rush defense. Controlling the line of scrimmage will decide the fate of the Hogs is the honest truth, and we have a good chance of doing that.
And to add, Ugoh and Parker are great offensive linemen. If injuries haven't been the story of their career Arkansas in the past two seasons wouldn't have been so bad. Those close games would have gone our way with a few more blocks. Arkansas has had talent, but haven't been able to use it all at once. That's the excuse for those years, but not one that can be used.
For some reason I am reminded of Cedric Cobbs. LH fans know this name and if his knee didn't blow out he would have been one of the best SEC tailbacks to ever play in the conference. We always seem to have All-American type TBs it's about keeping them healthy, and that's all that counts.
...watching the USC vs. ARK game from last year right now on FCS Pacific. good stuff....its getting me ready for the game in 12 DAYS!!!
Brutalis-
just realized Carroll got his first coaching job as a graduate assistant @ Arkansas. everything seems to always come full circle...
