I will say it was the 2nd team defense he faced but still I think that 2nd team could take Colorado...hehe. He showed flashes of what we are trying to do, which is spread the offense and bring in a passing game to compliment the #1 running team in the conference last year. Obviously the coaches decided to keep McFadden on safe mode a lot of the game but Felix Jones showed his first start at tailback was scary after throwing away the ball 3 times.
In the Arkansas Democrat it said Mustain was named the starter, and Robert Johnson was moved to wideout. Which brings up the question why tune him at QB in camp, not to mention last year, if you're just going to move him and make way for Mustain? Nutt blamed his assistants saying "i was overuled" which is common, he blames a variety of things when losing.
What's sad is even above all the drama going on with the Razorbacks, is how easy it can be fixed.
Fire Nutt after the season if not before and move Gus Malzhan to HC for the remander of the season with intentions on making a real offer to Butch Davis for next season after he has been attending games with the Hogs.
Arkansas is in the middle of a war. Frank Broyles needs to give up the AD and move the on in life. Paul Eels died, our program is being ran into the ground with an idiot coach and a burnt out coach/AD in Frank.
The problems are obvious, so why not fix them? We have the talent to grow in Mustain, Williams, Crawford and super sophmores like DMac, Jones, Monk and leaders like Olajubutu and Hillis. It honestly makes me freaking sick and half of all Hog fans are darksiders until the HC is fired.

If Nutt shuts the up, and Gus runs the offense with Mustain, a stronger DMac, Hillis and Monk will get us 8 wins at least with our talent level. It was Nutt's fault with Matt Jones not developing a passing game with him cause he had a good arm, it's not happening again.
You don't need Butch Davis. I know he's part of the Razorback family and all, but he's not an innovator. Davis is going to be more Chan Gailey or Al Groh rather than Pete Carroll. I think to be compe ive in the SEC Arkansas needs to think outside the box from the get go if you're kicking Nutt to the curb. Go tell Dr. Norm Chow over in Nashville that the D-1 head job he's wanted for so long is available in Fayetteville.
I'm too biased with Davis, I think he's the man and he can cheat as good as the best ones in the SEC does.

Dude...if Mustain had someone like Chow? That kid would be all American.
I think Chow would be a good fit, but I just can't imagine Arkansas hiring him. I think they would be better off if they did - provided he wants to coach there.
