(second section here)
Random Guy’s Plan to Combat Terrorism
This will be broken down into three sections that I will try to finish today.
- Basic Assumptions
- General Strategy and Concepts
- Specific Actions
Basic Assumptions
- The “war” on terror is mostly one of public relations.
- Military force, although necessary, is not sufficient.
- Improving security, although necessary, is not sufficient.
- Military force, if overused, is counter-productive.
- We are fighting a radical minority within the global Muslim community, therefore empowering the moderates within that community is of utmost importance.

I will futher assume that these two do ents have some wisdom and attempt to put into play their principles.
(end first section, later segments may be added in a later edit)

Specific actions in a nuts :
Mostly withdraw from Iraq, sooner the better. 5 years or less.
Embrace Iran.
Release almost all Gitmo detainees, all should be given as fair a trial as possible.
Work as hard as possible in as many channels as possible for human rights and free trade. Live up to our ideals.
Work as hard as possible to fund education and the rule of law in the developing world.
More later.

Man, sections two and three don't have much substance to them.(third section here)
I agree with most of those premises.
But you are missing one... One that describes the mindset of those we are combating.
I could add a bit about how they are murderous pyschopaths, but that is waaaaay too obvious.
"Art of War" is a great read. Lots of period specific advice to plow through though.
