    The Mavs can only play the schedule. What they are doing this season is still amazing. You can't hold it against them that the majority of the teams are crappy anymore then you can dismiss the Suns 17 game win streak. Think about it every night they play the other team is giving them all they can handle to try and beat them.

    Yes it might not mean anything ultimately. Last year the Heat in a way proved it. In the regular season they were awful versus the division leaders and teams over .500. Although I don't like this pacing ourselves for the playoffs mentality.

    Heat had/have no choice but to pace themselves with Shaq as one of their top 2 players. He's just not capable of playing an entire season and playoffs anymore.

    I will be somewhat surprised if he doesn't get hurt again between now and the playoffs since he has to carry them with Wade out. I think he will breakdown and/or be worn out come playoff time.
