I think Vaughn will do fine with the 6-8 minutes he gets in each game in the playoffs.
Last two games showed that Jackie can be back up for TP only in his dreams.
I hope TP will stay out of injuries in playoffs, and Pope will get decent back up for next season.
Any suggestions from you?
I think Vaughn will do fine with the 6-8 minutes he gets in each game in the playoffs.
Last two games showed nothing new. Vaughn is a limited role player.
Vaughn sucks when he plays with a crappy lineup because he has to do more things and he hasn't enough skills to do it. When he plays with a good lineup, he is quite good because he can play his role and only his role.
During the playoffs, Vaughn will play all his minutes with both Duncan and Manu on the court and will only have to do what he does well : taking care of the balll, initiating the offense, playing good defense and hitting a midrange jumper when he is open.
BTW, vaughn post all star games stats are 4.6 ppg with a 47% FG% and 2.8 assists in 17 min. It's comparable to Claxton stats in 03.
Hey now, Vaughn is no Claxton c2003! Speedy had something else that year, forget the stats...
But as for the rest, well said!
Also, Manu will play some PG in spots, and Barry can if necessary.
Uhhhh, last time i checked, it was Vaughn.
Vaughn>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>Beno
agreed
wtf happened to beno..
that's not saying much.
a dead squirrel on the side of the sidewalk downtown near the bill millers offices is a better basketball player than Beno
Beno wasn't this awful in his Rookie season was he? I remember being kind of impressed with him early on in 2004-05. What the happened to him? Too much MySpace?
beno gain 30 pounds
became overweight, and doesnt care anymore.
But don't tell anyone that, according to some special ed posters here, its Pop's fault.
didn't timvp also said Beno bangs mexicans 3 at a time.
, the illegal immigrant trucks first stop at his house after crossing the border![]()
I think the more important thing for the Spurs -- important than the fact that Vaughn is better than Beno -- is the fact that Vaughn is an upgrade over the decrepit Nick Van Exel.
As for the Claxton comparison, here are a few numbers:
30 games
5.8 ppg
2.5 apg
.468 FG%
2.14 ast/to ratio
29 games
4.6 ppg
2.8 apg
.468 FG%
2.93 ast/to ratio
The first of those is Claxton for all of 2002-03; the second is Vaughn since the All-Star break in 2006-07. Given that Vaughn appears to be a much better defender, I'm not really sure how anyone (other than those who nonsensically romanticize the idea that Claxton > Parker in the 2003 Finals) can argue that there's a huge difference that favors Claxton.
