If you have the first Xbox all you do in the dashboard is go to settings and enable the auto-sign in option.
I just recently got a new Xbox because my old one got messed up and was under warranty...but now I can't get my gamertag to sign in automatically which means I always have to do it manually which is becoming kind of a pain in the ass. Does anybody know if theres a setting somewhere for it to sign into Xbox Live as soon as the power is turned on like it did on my old Xbox?

Oh ok thanks I'll try it I have a 360...I was looking for something like that but for the life of me I couldn't find it
