???
That season he was here, he was the man.
That was his problem. He thought he was "the man".
DA was so fun to watch while he was in SA. His career was never really the same afterwards. But man was that guy athletic!
I was at the playoff game when he separated his shoulder, what a bummer. He was a great athletic player but the first time he aired a little dirty laundry to the media I knew he was gone.
it was a shock when the spurs had a wing player who could put the ball on the floor and drive to the basket. then the spurs brought in like 3 of those guys.
Why are we talking about DA today? Did something happen to him?
Someone posted a pic...so its DA day
No, Ive just always liked him and wish he wouldve been on the Spurs longer.

He was a greedy ass, I don't know why anyone would miss him![]()
DA indirectly led to the Spurs 2003 le. By being a and forcing the trade, he caused Steve Smith, who was as old as dirt, to be a Spur. Smith broke down in Dec 2002, and into the starting lineup stepped a young hothead named Stephen Jackson. He held the job from Dec 2002 until the end of his Spurs career in June 2003, and was a big part of the championship run.
So, thanks DA, and how's that money workin' out for ya?
anyone have a pic of him at home in kentucky?
The only Spur I think of when I hear Anderson is Willie; sadly he never got a ring. The year we had to wait for Big Dave, Willie played his ass off for a measly 21 wins.

I don't miss him. We've upgraded since he's been gone.
Very well. He owns some very successful construction companies. I
No kidding. He put himself before the team. Well, at least he got his ring as a pine rider for Miami.![]()
spurs played his ass perfectly in the offseason. they didn't want to pay his going rate and he made it too easy to lose him. "loyalty". everyone in the town hated him a couple months after couples were willing to name their first born after him. good stuff.
i do have this .....http://youtube.com/watch?v=4WbShOm-bcg
we've def. upgraded but he was a of a player. only problem was he thought he was worth the money we gave to parker and ginobili....he wasnt and him being greedy ruined his career...
Derek Anderson is the Charmin Man.
Tissue soft.
The Spurs were concerned about his durability over the course of a long-term deal. Seems like those concerns were well-founded.
I remember when our "backcourt of the future" was Antonio Daniels and Derek Anderson.
Remember the AD/DA backcourt? Wow.
2 good players, but TP/MG is much better.
