Filho's last fight was against Misaki in the Pride WW (183 lb) Grand Prix. http://www.dailymotion.com/video/x11...o-filho_street

He pulled out due to a knee injury after this fight and Misaki took his place in the finals that same night and beat an injured Denis Kang. Misaki had beaten Dan Henderson earlier in the tourny...but then he lost to Frank Trigg earlier this year. MMAmath doesn't work too well, but Misaki is still a solid fighter anyway you slice it...
Luke at bloodyelbow talks about why Filho may not be a big hit in the US, despite being a great fighter.

I see what he's saying, but he's a lot like Matt Hughes IMO. Hughes is a dominant wrestler but lackluster striking. Filho has dominant BJJ and but lackluster striking. Filho pulls armbars from all over the mat...which I'd prefer to see than Hughes' slams...
Joe's only chance is to land a big shot standing IMO...I think he'll get dominated on the ground (and he's no joke on the ground!). Joe is tough to submit, but I think Filho will do it via armbar in the 2nd.
Larson vs Condit should be a great fight too...Larson via 1st round KO
