Finally we sign a player with sweet corn roll pigtails
A good way to handle a Hoopsworld article is to print it out.
And then throw it away without reading it.
Corn rolls are delicious with honey butter!! Mmmm.....
Don Harris said on WOAI TV tonight that Hudson's agent told him today "he does not expect Hudson to sign with the Spurs. Hudson is looking to play alot and that's not going to happen with Tony Parker (t)here. He said it is not an ideal situation for either side."
Why even show up then? Did he think we were trading our Finals MVP?
Chances are he just wanted more than the minimum.
Damn i meant to say corn rows, but im freaking starving. thanks for the correction helicoptor
Agent translation: "He's looking to play a lot and that's not going to happen with Tony Parker there"
RC translation: "Troy, we are going in a different direction."
this hoopsworld is a freakin joke. who runs the show over there, jack haley?
Don't know if this has been mentioned elsewhere, but Vitaly Potapenko (SAC) is in town. Has anyone heard if the Spurs are interested or if it's just coincidence that he's here?
Spurs sign another big = Mahinmi only in 09![]()
Vitaly's done, but if he wants to be a training camp practice dummy, fine.
I'd prefer to sign Ian or keep that last roster spot open since some good players are going to be waived before the season starts.
As with Hudson, I'm sure it's just another due diligence workout. Such workouts are free to run and who knows when you will find the next worthwhile reclamation project. Sometimes when a player gets into their thirties, a light goes on and they become hard working team players.
For example, Terry Porter was selfish gunner late in his time with the Blazers. He had a poor at ude and wasn't a very team oriented player. Then he had a rebirth where he transformed into a great chemistry guy who became a student of the game. Even though it's hard to admit, Jerry Stackhouse fits a similar mold.
Those types of finds are rare but that's why the Spurs will always take the time to workout a player who at one point in time showed some potential.
I think that light may be the ol' checkbook low indicator. At least some are smart enough to realize what it is, and how they can extend their careers.
..and after ANOTHER check of spurs.com, still no waiver announcement on VSpan.
Sign Mahinmi, sign AAron Miles and Will Conroy, trade or Cut Udrih.
End of summer.
Miles and Conroy are in Europe, but I agree with the rest.
Terry Porter was a stud is whole career. Where did you hear that?
