Warriors Request Waivers On Jasikevicius

The Golden State Warriors have requested waivers on guard Sarunas Jasikevicius after reaching a contractual buyout agreement, Executive Vice President of Basketball Operations Chris Mullin announced today. Per team policy, terms of the agreement were not released.
“We think this was in the best interest of both parties,” said Mullin. “As a compe or, Sarunas obviously would like to have an opportunity to play a significant role on a team. This could potentially open up other avenues that will allow him to pursue that opportunity.” [READ]

Jasikevicius has signed a 2-year contract with Panathinaikos.

Sarunas is a much better player than Beno, but that's sort of like saying:
"If I have to eat vomit, I prefer it to be my own vomit."
