Snaq isn't one of those hungry vets that comes to the Spurs in search of a ring. He's just hungry in a Golden Corral kind of way.

Would you go for it and sign him?
You're asking us on Spurs talk?
Well as for me, i would try to sign him but i think i would be a little bit short on money... plus i'm not part of any NBA team... so i'm not very confident about it

Holt would have to to spring for a bigger cargo type plane, and that cost more $$$ so it's not going to happen.

If he were available in an "Allan Houston Rule" scenario, where someone else is paying 99% of his contract, why not? I'm not going to address the chemistry issues, becuase this scenario would NEVER happen with Shaq. Otherwise, no, becuase his contract is an albatross. It's like saying, "if you had a time machine, would you use it to prevent WWII and the attendant genocide?" Of course, but the trick is getting the time machine.

The Allan Houston rule was a one time thing. When players like Houston & Finley got cut, that was the only time teams were able to do that...it's not like that option is available to every team every year.

Who cares about how much it would cost?

You want the Spurs to stoop to the level of the Yankees and try to build a team of already proven all-stars? In this case, mega-stars?

Besides, what respect has Shaq ever shown towards the Spurs? I don't care if the dude can walk on water and wants to play for free.

Then again, maybe I just don't like Shaq. I would have taken KG if he wanted to come here.
