yesterday troy aikmen joined my church.
pastor gets up there and says I'd like to introduce you to the aikmen
family. troy and rhonda.
Though starstruck, it got me to thinking....
does the pastor realize troy won't be in church half the sundays out of
the
year?

His wife is very pretty although much taller than I imagined. He looks to still be in pretty good shape.

Cool. Priest Holmes would go visit the church where I use to go. Michael Redd of the Bucks went to preach one time there too.
I've been to HP! Everyone has been to HP that's dubba's church too. Not a big deal.
It's beautful, huge, and contributes to Project Transformation. Read this summer at your church. It'll be an awesome hour, just fyi. And if you do dinner, don't suggest baked potatoes....ever. never ever baked potatoes.
????????
George W. Bush
Ever since I told everyone I've been told by others that is The Prez's church as well as Justin Leonard, Jason Garrett, Roger Staubach. Jerry's been there before but only at Easter.
Rumor has it W's choice of residence after Jan 2009 will be HP.
it's dubya, juggs.
Oh happy day. So when i come to visit I'll have to deal with that traffic too.
j/k.
Whatever.
OH the joys of a big church. You actually have no idea who all the members are!![]()
It doesn't help when the who's who go there twice a year. Not to say I'm a saint or anything...
If golf is a sport, then going to church could be a sport...
I don't think any famous people have been to our church. Alot of brainiacs, maybe, but no one famous.
jesus is impressed i bet he comes back just to get troys autograph
Another reason not to like Highland Park.
QB for the Cowboys is not a Southern Baptist?![]()
I am sure they love a private issue being discussed in a public forum.
No ... not all southern evangelicals are, in fact, Baptist. Methodism and Pentecostalism is strong in many areas as well.
Maybe the pastor realizes Troy has a lot of money to he!!!
Methodists??? See what this guy says at the end of his rant about methodists...

Take it from a non-prosperity teaching ministrer -- I'd rather have you in church, than your $$.
I will gladly let everyone know I'm a Methodist. Even if I were famous it would be a non-issue where I go to church.
No, there is a public aspect to religion as well. Really, it is only in the modern and postmodern West that religion is seen as something to be kept completely to yourself. It's always had a public component. You worship God with other people, you participate in the community with them, you pray for/with them, etc.
But yes, there's also a private/personal component. Of course.
