I voted "all of the above," but now that I think about it the Mavs aren't cowardly -- they proudly put their lack of heart and brains on display.
They have no heart.
With Dirk and Bass on the team, it's hard to call them cowardly or without heart. I think they try but their mistakes at all the wrong times kills them.

Dirk is the only one on the team with some heart, but he doesn't have enough for the lack that the rest of them have. We need a major shakeup in the off season. Keep Dirk, Bass, Damp, and Kidd. The rest have to go.
Kidd is 35. He's starting to get too damn slow to compete in the West. This year was supposed to be the Mavs one big shot. They're ed.
the Mavs are soo mentally shocked from the epic collapses in the last two years that they are now afraid to make mistakes, which resulted in offensive stagnation and shooting hesitation. if they cant get at least two wins out of this series i say they should do a complete roster overhaul.
