    Dwyane Wade on Star Jones rumors: We're friends

    ATLANTA — Dwyane Wade has finally spoken up about his alleged romance with Star Jones: "Star is an unbelievable woman. We have a great, great relationship. As friends."

    "We're friends, just like a lot of celebrities. We are friends," the Miami Heat star said Thursday during a guest appearance on "Inside the NBA," the jocular TNT show featuring Charles Barkley, Kenny Smith and Ernie Johnson.

    "Are y'all close friends?" Smith asked.

    "We're good friends," Wade responded.

    "Are you the kind of friends that drink out of one cup with two straws?" Smith persisted, referring to a much-discussed photo of Wade, 26, and Jones, the 46-year-old TV personality who recently filed for divorce, at a tennis match. "Those kind of friends?"

    "We are friends. That's all," said Wade, who is married to his high school sweetheart and has two sons.

    "Good friends?" Barkley interjected.

    "Naw, Chuck," Wade said with a smile.

    Some hilarity ensued. Barkley broke through the commotion to say, "I like Star. She's a cougar."

    "What's a cougar?" Smith asked, not so innocently, a perfect lob to Barkley.

    Representatives for Jones did not immediately return a call for comment Thursday night. - AP

    The same things I do every postseason:

    10. Drink heavily.
    9. As a Pacer fan, most years I spend a lot of time praying to St. Jude, the Patron Saint of Lost Causes.
    8. Alphabetize the CD and DVD collections. (Hey, they're right next to the TV.)
    7. Smoke heavily, mostly due to the heavy drinking.
    6. I end up doing a lot of walking. Either I am pacing, or I am walking to the liquor store. (Don't drive drunk; you might hit a bump and spill your "road soda.")
    5. Watching my extensive collection of Big Country and Men Without Hats videos.
    4. Did I mention the heavy drinking? My short term memory isn't what is used to be.
    3. Carving wooden flag poles for the Swiss Navy.
    2. Calling the local sports talk radio station to about the BCS system, lack of NBA coverage, and general slobbering on the Cardinals' knobs.
    1. Planning to take over the world.
