Didn't Pop do the same thing in Game 1?
who throws in the towel faster than byron scott?
Didn't Pop do the same thing in Game 1?
24 pts going into the 4th; opposing team beating you up like it was nobody's business; best interior defender in foul trouble; best outside shooter bottled up the last couple of games; and a big game 5 coming up - why not?
besides, it was probably the best idea he had at that time.
This is the longest garbage time i've seen, even Ime got 15 pts.
Maybe Pop![]()
he took like 20 shots......he better have scored 15.
I'm gonna say Pop as well, there are some games during the RS that we could have came back and Pop sat the starters out during the middle of the 3rd quarter.
Byron threw it in early in the third, otherwise he would have pulled Chandler when he got his fourth.
He knew it was over then.
Yeah. and it happened in a crucial game..
The spurs should get ready. They are going to get some major ass kissing (again) by the media after almost-but-not-quite-yet-being-written-off those 2 big wins by the hornets.
Yeah, Pop pulled a similar trick in Game 1, but Game 1 is not quite the same thing as Game 4. Hornets should have tried everything they could to go back to NO with this thing 3-1.
That being said, I'll take a 3-game series.
tonight in and of itself was not surprising. with the huge deficit + his team showing no signs of having the want (let alone the ability) to come back, there was no reason to keep his starters in.
IMHO, it's more that the track record that i was thinking of. i felt that game 3 was still in doubt when he yanked Paul. and - of course - there is the infamous nets-lakers finals game 4 when he pulled his guys down 6 with still a minute to play.
he say the body language and knew they would not come back
when the white boy #40 Ryan Bowen gets over 2 minutes, its over.
