A friend of mine emailed me two songs from the album that will be coming out soon (Viva La Vida & Violent Hill) and I think they're pretty damn good.
It seems that whatever they were expirmenting with on X&Y has been worked out of their system. The two songs have a more "mature" sound to them. Of course, I'm basing this on the two songs I've heard.
I can't wait for the album to come out.

I have the whole album on my mp3 player, and it's miles ahead of X&Y. Definitely a step in the right direction. It's arguably their most consistent effort yet.
I have it as well. It's not bad, but it's not great either. I guess I should listen to it again.

i'm glad i inspired the le of this release. i read he pulled a rockstar move a couple of days ago during a radio interview. what a penis.
Just finished listening to it for the first time.....well, it's better than X&Y, I'll give it that. I like Coldplay a lot, but I had somewhat low expectations for this one after hearing Viva La Vida the song, which is definitely the worst song they've ever written. Overall it's not a bad album but alot closer to X&Y than it is to Parachutes or Rush Of Blood To The Head.
