Knicks To Offer Two-Year Deal

Looking to add a point guard on the cheap, the Knicks went into the start of free agency at 12:01 a.m. Monday targeting Chris Duhon, who has been a backup with the Bulls during his first four NBA seasons.
The Knicks are expected to offer Duhon a two-year deal worth roughly half of the mid-level exception, totaling around $6 million, according to NBA sources. -- New York Daily News
New coach Mike D'Antoni is high on adding Duhon to his system. In fact, when D'Antoni was the Suns' coach, he tried a few times to acquire Duhon as a backup to Steve Nash.

If D'Antoni can make Duhon into a top 10 point guard especially with the rest of that roster, then he really is a genius.
I believe that the deal actually reads as 2yr/$6M, not 2yr/$12M - although it will actually cost them more than the actual contract value due to their salary cap position concerning the Luxury Tax.

im pretty sure there is an agreement between both parties that duhorn might get a payrise once his a FA if he signs with the knicks....thats if the knicks are under cap to sign lebron then bang give duhorn what he wants....
