if its on at the bar i suppose
I'll be watching so that I can create my own spin on what I see.![]()
I know he's been practing it for days now and I"m sure he'll do a fine job.
I also know, and I'm not saying only Bush does it, that he'll put just enough truth in his speech without giving too much information and he'll get by.
He will speak of the success of vote in Iraq, as he should, but not speak much about the war itself.
It is going to be fun to watch.
if its on at the bar i suppose
Well, that explains your view of the world Homer.
actually i would have no problem ripping to shreds your view of the world any day of the week and twice on sundays
be sure to practice you seig heil a few times before the speech tonight. you wouldnt want to let der leader down
LOL...you'll be watching the skirts and I'm not criticizing that!![]()
I have no doubt. People who get their world view from Cliff Klaven can rip anyone to shreds.
Case in point.
actually i get my worldview from the economist and the wall street journal, among other sources, but whatever makes you feel better
Thank you. You do know that proper names and les are usuall capitalized. Right, smarty pants? Or, is it Smarty Pants (who know what name your parents gave you.)
Probably not. I don't see a point.
Who the is Office Handle?
I just hope I don't spray my TV with beer while watching.

If you do Joe, just blow the air horn and have the wife and kids use the squegee on it.![]()

Real name, or other handles?Who the is Office Handle?![]()
Nope. Got better things to do.
Well, to each his own, but making your opinions over a pre planned spin session (regardless of the party giving the speech) seems rather dubious.
The poster without a shift key. He (or she) is shiftless.
awesome having the IRAQi who voted, and the mother whos son died for the Iraqis, hugging.
Tear jerking moment there.
Dubya can give a speech. There ain't no doubt about that.
I thought it was bold. The man has got some NUTS. Damn.
When he called out Syria, it was almost startling. It was almost as if grabbed Syria by the lapels and said, "Listen up. I'm still the ing Sherriff and you're on notice. You don't clean up your act, your ass is mine."
I mean, he did NOT mince words. I freaking loved that. That sure as sent some reverberations through the Assads...
Social Security, thought he did a great job...
Immigration...I think his plan has some merits, though many conservatives are screaming...
Great speech, as usual. That's my two cents
The State of Dis-Union Enjoy!

Well, basing your opinion over any pre-planned spin session, be it written or spoken or broadcast seems rather dubious.
And I think the percentage of American voters who do would be surprising.
Most information on any politician is going to be written from a biased view.
That being said I thought Bush did have a fine performance. Syria has nothing to fear just as Saudi Arabia doesn't either.
He did make good use of the photo opportunities and gain some emotional points.
His points on immigration are reasonable to me.
I never depended on Social Security so that is an issue that I'm not too concerned with.
Over all I'd say he did a good job.
Oh, by the way, he didn't make me change my views.
So you don't mind the 6 1/2% or so that comes right off the top of your paycheck, that if the system isn't revised.....you will never see, or see only a small percentage of?I never depended on Social Security so that is an issue that I'm not too concerned with.
I don't know about you....but over the last couple of years I've contributed about $25,000. As the system stands, I'd be extremely lucky to see $17,000 of that. Under my own managagement, that could have been more than twice that amount. Now I have absolutely no control over how my *future* is being taken care of -- outside of 401k, etc.
That's not insignificant to me.
