Wait, wait... He found a 7-inch blade in a 6-inch half sandwich? Something tells me he didn't think this scam through.
Man finds knife in Subway sandwich, sues
Claims 7-inch blade in foot-long; company investigating, won’t comment

NEW YORK - A New York man claimed in a lawsuit filed on Wednesday that he found a knife with a 7-inch blade baked into the bread of his foot-long "Cold Cut Trio" Subway sandwich.
John Agnesini, 26, a magazine designer, said he had already taken a few bites from the sandwich in late June when he spotted the knife jutting out from the bread's crust. The lawsuit, filed in Manhattan state court, seeks $1 million.
"If I didn't look at it, I don't know what would have happened," said Agnesini. "That's the last thing you think about a sandwich you eat all the time."
A colleague telephoned the chain to complain, but Subway never apologized, he said.
Subway spokesman Kevin Kane said in a statement the company was investigating.

well it was a foot-long, but they always cut their sandwiches in half, so im going to agree with spurminator
Spurminator = Encyclopedia Brown
Way to look sharp there, Subway.
Encyclopedia Brown should be a troll
MAYBE THIS IS SUBWAY'S NEW WAY TO CUT OUT THE FAT
Maybe the blade was aligned along the diagonal?
@ Encylopedia Brown. Those stories were the sh!t.
Foot long cold cut trio is $5; throw in a restaurant grade knife and that's not a bad deal.
It would have had to be pretty much perfectly diagonal (corner to corner) on one half of the sandwich, not overlapping the middle.
Even Bugs Meany could pull off a less obvious scam.
Cold Cut Trio w/o the machete![]()
Seeks $1M for seeing a knife? Dude didn't cut himself. People are frickin' sue happy. He didn't get hurt, he saw a knife and is suing for what could've happened. I should sue OLLU, because I could've been in the building during that fire.

Key words to help comprehension are in bold.
They cut the foot longs in half. Half of a foot is six inches.

You can request for it no to be cut in half.
Wouldn't that be convenient?
And not to mention just cuz the sandwich is cut in half doesn't mean the re making the sandwich made it a perfect 6/6 cut. It could have been 7/5.
You underestimate the perfectionism of the Subway Sandwich Artist.
Im used to it. The bas s at the Subway I usually go to never cut that right.
And I'm sure the Subway worker wouldn't notice a couple of ounces of bread that all of a sudden weighed about 3 times as much as normal, either...
I wish I'd of bought that damn sandwich. I could use a million dollars.
I got an A for Torts in law school.
Sir, don't pee on my leg, and tell me it's raining!
