Keith Davis dumped by the Dolphins and back in Dallas, thoughts?
Why did the Dolphins cut him? Will he help our special teams coverage?

Yea they went after him so hard once Bill got to Miami, he was always a "Bill Parcells guy" when he was in dallas. I was hoping a Fins Fan could shed some light on this. did they need his roster spot for someone else? Did they find a guy in camp that was better than him as a back up safety and special teams ace?
I have not followed the dolphins at all so I have no clue.
I've heard a couple of things. First is that Keith wanted to stay in Dallas, but signed on in Miami because he was led to believe he would be a top candidate for a starting safety spot. As it turned out he wasn't given too much of a chance to even compete for a starting spot, which I would think pissed him off. No telling what went on behind closed doors with that one...
The other is that Keith had a couple of minor injuries in camp that added to his disappointment in the starting safety issue to ultimately make him expendable.
I'm glad he's back. With the Cowboys he knows what his role is and there are no starting spots. He knows that he's here to cause havoc on special teams and that's what he gets paid to do.
Now that I think about it, they might want to figure out a way to keep him away from Pacman... with Pacman's tendency to have people around him get shot and Keith's tendency to get shot...
Never thought of that. You better send an email to Mickey Spagnola and ask him to pass that on to ownership. Maybe all the other players will chip in and get him a Bullet proof vest with a cowboys logo on it.
