Oden will help a very young and rising Portland team and I smell a big fall out in Denver this year....You can flip Spurs and Mavs it will be close. Going to be a tight year again but Spurs will lose ground....
Ugh....
Portland > San Antonio
at Suns and Utah being ahead of the Spurs
Blazers could be higher. Suns probably below Spurs, Denver out of the equation. I do see SAS around the #6 spot.
Not sure how that is funny considering we won a total of 1 game more than the Suns and 2 more than Utah.....Not that far fetched....
Better believe it !

I will bet right now the Rockets do not finish ahead of SA in the division or go as far as SA in the playoffs.

Not sure, with so many different coaches and players, would not be surprised to see the bottom 3 be switched or bumped out. My surprise team of the year will be the Timberwolves.
Spurs will still be in top 4 without injury...
Doesn't really matter what place we end up in regular season.
2 keys
(1) Our rookies get enough experience and gell together for the playoff run.
(2) Our big 3 has had enough rest to stay healthy on the playoff run.
Reality though, it is going to be *very* difficult. Our best chance now is that if any of our new acquisitions explodes into an all-star calibre player. It's a leap, but that's just how you get to the next level. Fingers crossed that one or two of these guys (Mason, Hill, Mahinmi, Gist, Tolliver) take it to the next level.
was this thread started before the rockets picked up ron artest? cos if it was....the rockets will be better then us, we didnt get to play utah in the PO last season, but during the regular season, timmy was being torched by utahs bigs(and their bigs suck)..anyone thinking our new rookies are gonna turn this around are out of their minds...so much for HCA.....just like last season, if we dont get HCA we dont win a championship its that simple, and it doesnt matter what place we fall in after the number 1 slot.....

How can we as fans honstly say our team will not drop when everyone around us has done something to improve?
What people fail to realize is that even though some of us have Spurs higher or lower that the difference between first and 5 could be 4-5 games. It is way too early to tell and a lot of these could be interchanged.
