I wonder how it is possible that Dragic buyout his 3 years contract, and none of Tau`s Spurs didn`t ?
Spurs traded him because he wasn`t going to NBA ??![]()

The Phoenix Suns will get their man after all.
After trying to sign European point guard Goran Dragic all off-season, with most believing the efforts a long shot at best because of Dragic's buyout situation, the Arizona Republic is reporting that a buyout with Tau Ceramica has been reached and that Dragic is en route to Phoenix to sign a contract to play for the Suns this season.
Once he arrives, Dragic will sign a four year contract with the Suns, with the last year being a team option.
Phoenix has been high on the point guard ever since acquiring the second rounder for $500,000 in the June NBA Draft. They see Dragic as an immediate backup for Steve Nash, and potential future replacement.
The Suns considered the idea of drafting Dragic with their 15th overall pick in June if Robin Lopez, their eventual first-round pick, was not available. They ranked Dragic second only to the top overall pick, Chicago's Derrick Rose, among all point guards in the draft.
"From Day 1, he wanted to end up with Phoenix," said Rade Filipovich, Dragic's agent. "It was very important for us to put him with the team this year.
"He's very excited. People in Phoenix are going to be very happy. He's going to be a very good player for several years. The Suns fans are getting an excellent player and should be very excited because he's playing great basketball and he's a great young man."

Because the spurs front office are a bunch of cheap ass mother ers...you didn't know that?
Dragic tell me Suns is lier.
For a Rockets fan, you sure do spend a lot of time obsessing about the Spurs, Louis.
Dragic had only one year left on his contract.
I don't know if this is true though, still nothing in Slovenian media. If it is, I'm not sure if it's good for him, I think he needed one more year in Europe.
This is true.
Tau let him fly to Phoenix to have physical tests and negociate with the Suns.
The problem was that Tau was asking 2M for the buyout. With Phoenix offering 3 or 4 years, Dragic will pay the difference with what the suns were willing to pay.
National media is reporting that it's a done deal.
1.5 mio buyout. Will have 2mio pay in the first year, to help him with the buyout.
Wow.
The Spurs are no fun if they aren't going to take risks!
Absolutely no balls in having guys like Van Exel play over building talent like Beno Udrih.
Absolutely no balls by not sigining Scola just to unload a crappy player like Butler.
Absolutley no balls by not negotiating with Splitter to get him in the NBA. Now both Scola and Dragic from Tau are in the NBA because the other teams are willing to make the commitment.
We are being hoodwinked by our rivals (Suns and Rockets) because we are all too conservative!
The best we should do now is give our youth playing time. None of this B.S. of playing Finley for 23 minutes a game!
Spurs are 0-for-Tau.
This is bad news for the Spurs. Dragic showed multiple times in international play that he can stay in front of Parker. Outside of Devin Harris, not to many other people in the world can say that.
TAU give Scola to Rockets and Dragic to Suns but they will never give Scola to Spurs or Splitter either. And Spurs is believe never Dragic either.
Does TAU managers hate Spurs?
But this is the NBA not international ball.
Woooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooowwww!
I was so happy about this that i actually MADE MY LAZY ASS RESET THE LONG FORGOTEN PASSWORD!
I lurk these forums every day but havent posted anything in ages....
Dragic will be able to learn from Steve Nash... F*** yeah!
(too bad than apart from these 2 players the rest are idiots so i wont be able to cheer for them as a team)
I think you are overrating his defense. Don't get me wrong, his defense is good, but not that good to take Parker out. I watched Arroyo destroy him, about month ago, so he has his weaknesses and limitations. He is a rookie for gods sake. He will find himself in all sorts of trouble this year and his learning curve will have to be steep as , if he is to be a successful NBA guard.
Parker will be OK, book it!
He played REALLY WELL in a couple of games against Parker.
In 1 game he basically shut him down. (i never seen Parker more frustrated than then)
But yeah... he is a rookie and wonīt do miracles like Suns organisation&fans expect.
He will be a diferent PG than Nash is. Nash is superb in offense and Dragic is a way better defensive player. He also hustles, rebounds and is not afraid of contact.
He has a really high ceiling imo. (like some other lazy Slovenian PG...)
Letīs hope he is going to reach it.
But I do not think Spurs should be afraid of Suns as a serious compe ion.
Shaq will probably break down by christmas.
But seriously, why are you holding his play to the same standard?
I really don't understand how or why Tau agreed to allow Dragic to leave. Did they not think as highly of him as they did Splitter, whom they desparately wanted to retain?
Furthermore, if Dragic is so ing good, why didn't the Spurs simply keep him for themselves? What do the Spurs see in Hill that they rate him so much better than Dragic? Or was it Dragic's contractual situation that made him such a perceived risk?
It's frustrating to see several of the Spurs chief rivals fortify their rosters, while the Spurs either give away talent for pennies on the dollar (Scola) or lose out on prime Euro prospects (Splitter, Jaktovas) because of international economics or bad blood between management teams.
