anyone else getting tired of being force fed a constant stream of swimming and volleyball.

There are tons of other compe ions out there that i would love to at least be exposed to a little bit, but none of it is ever shown.

I would love to see some of the Judo and Tae Kwon Do matches, but those are getting 0 TV time.

Ive about had all i can stomache of Michael Phelps and swimming.

You aren't looking. NBC is broadcasting on several different channels. MSNBC, CNBC, USA, Universal and Oxygen as well as the main NBC are all carrying stuff.

There are tons of alternate programming going on all the time on those channels.

Additionally, you can go online to watch many things via rewind.

I've been watching Boxing on one of the other channels, until I've had just about my fill of Olympic style boxing. I love boxing as much as any other sport, but damn is it pussified in the Olympics.

The swimming and gymnastics is what pulls the highest ratings for this first week and 1/2, so that's what's on NBC. Check the other channels if you have them.

Dude - it's still about ratings and NOBODY but you wants to watch archery or Judo, let alone the myriad of obscure sports.

I'm just pissed they didn't show the 100m live. WTF @ that NBC. I guess they'll show it tonight but I don't understand why they couldn't do both. that was a huge error imo.

the coverage has been . if you are on espn at all you can't help but see loads of results before nbc ing shows it. i don't see why the can't have a few channels of live events and when there aren't live events show all the less popular events.

coverage of swimming, soccer, basketball, gymnastics, volleyball and boxing has been good...everything else has sucked. and to me track and field is 'the' signature sport of the olympics...not to have every event of it live is a ing travesty. un ing real.

I was in Canada the first week of the Olympics and cannot believe how much better their coverage is. And everything is LIVE!!

This is a shame that people have to wait 13 hours (or more if you live on the west coast) to watch 100m final. ing unbelievable.

I wonder who makes the decisons about scheduling. Swimming and gymnastics were "willing" to schedule their premiere events in the morning in Beijing in order to have them on live in the Western hemisphere. You know that any big event held outside of the general prime time in the US will not be on live. Also, any event- like the 100m- that will be broadcast later on NBC will not be shown live online- ruins the whole TV ratings.

If they do this with most of the track and field for the 2nd half of these Olympics its going to suck.

no im tired of watchin swimmin and any other bs my country is in, they hype them up to succeed, and whey they dont, makes them look stupid. EVEN the athletes who did promos b4 the games talking about patriotism, being the best, if your not than ur not worthy to wear the national stripes...funni is, one of the clowns didnt even medal and his advertisement has been pulled of the air cause i think it offended a few athletes who couldnt make the games cause of injury etc

I'm not bothered by the amount of Olympics coverage we get. It will be 4 more years before you have to worry about this again.

I have a friend of mine who is on an xpat assignment in Tianjin, about 4 miles from Beijing, he hooked up a sling box for me so I have been able to watch a lot of events that way.
