Roger Mason turned down 3 guaranteed years last year, from the Spurs for a 1 year vet min with the Wizards. Does anyone know how much we offered him last year ?

I thought the veterans minimum was for 30+ players or something like that?

The minimum is a sliding scale that goes up by years in the league. Once it tops out, it's referred to as the vet min, but it's really just the highest rung on the minimum scale. Once you hit that rung, the league also kicks in part of the salary. I highly doubt mason was on the vet min.

I think it's for players with 3 or more years NBA experience.

For 4 times the price, I expec 4 times the game he brought last year...

For the record that would be 40ppg, 8rpg, 4apg.

He got more money because his agent wanted a 3 or 4 year deal, for around 1.75 per year, but we didn't want our 2010 plan to get messed up so we paid him more for fewer years.

I also hear thats why we lost Maggette. We wanted him to sign a 2 year deal, and he wanted a long term deal. On top of that he was offered more money by the Warriors.
Okay, you have proof of this or are some kind of credible source within the organizations...that's why I will trust you without scrutiny.
