Second highest paid right?
I sure as don't. Shoddy OL, no run game to speak of, journeyman QB, zero depth, sieve of a defense, brutal schedule, worst GM in the history of the NFL, etc, etc.
I see 6-7 wins and RW bolting after the season.
Will the pain/misery/apathy ever end? It's pretty bad when Matt Ryan and the piss poor ATL Falcons are a toss-up in your mind.
Second highest paid right?
Something like that. He's made over $30 million during his tenure. And was signed to a five year extension after a 6 win season.
You can't make this stuff up.
I remember when he was doing TV for……..FOX? And he was basically publicly calling for the job talking about what a good job he could do. It was so classless.
I went to a Lions game last year against the Vikings and they have some great fans. It sucks they don't have a better franchise. The Detroit fans deserve better.
Plus Ford Field is really nice.
Haha. Believe in now? I saw a couple of those commercials and just shook my head. no, I don't believe in now! In fact, I don't believe in 5 years from now...
I think they might win 8 games...maybe.
I guarantee you though that some Lions fans are looking at the preseason 3-0 record as a sign of hope and encouragement. "This is the Lions year" is a sayin I always hear. Yeah.....right...

I predict 7-9. LInebackers, other than simms are a big question. Agreed, no OL at all, Qb who could very will die the next time he is hit and who is our RB again?
midgetonadonkey is right...Detroit fans seems like badass fans...sucks they have to suffer through the idiocy of mismanagement....I mean wow...somehow they screwed up one of the best players to ever don a uniform in Sanders amongst other awesome players.
As a Texas Rangers fan, I fell your pain. We somehow get all stars and potential hall of famers yet screw up everything around them. I just don't know how we keep doing it over and over again...and just like the Lions...we have some great fans..........
Maybe somehow the stars will align right and the Lions and Rangers will somehow both win championships that year....![]()

On the morning sports show here in Lansing....some are.
It's painful. It really is.
Fifty games under .500 in the last seven years (31-81).
ing sigh.
Not as many as in years past, though. Blackouts will be the norm, as they were 25 years ago, if they continue to the bed.
Almost all hope is gone. And the dude has banked over a million dollars for every win under his guidance.
Comedy or tragedy? You decide.
Since things never change with the Leos, here's what I wrote two years ago:
And, of course, the pic must be included for the new year:The typical season goes like this: optimism, encouragement, lots of head shaking, swearing, prayer, apathy, revolt...
And then we get to October...

^^
your entire post is so funny and true.
...yet sad at the same time.
Not much better in Raider land. Our O-line is worse than yours
Is it better to have legitimate talent and a legitimate chance to contend (hope) only to be shattered by playoff choking (Cowboys)...
Or to never have the hope at all (Lions)?
I'd go with the first, although that December/January meltdown is tough to stomach.
#1 has a much much bigger emotional gut punch, but it's still good to enjoy watching a few months of football and then get punched in the gut over just watching your team suck from the get-go.
I don't know where it comes from, but I wish I could share your optimism.
I couldn't stomach saying/writing 4-12, 5-11 again, Jam.
I love how the beat writers are saying that the Lions will be better, but it won't show up in the W/L column. Then what's the ing point?
With the 32 pick via the Cowboys from the Roy Williams trade, the Lions select........
WR Michael Jones, ASU
I doubt only one pick, especially a low 1st, would land RW.
+Anthony Spencer who they supposedly offered up to the Cardinals for Boldin.
Detroit is soooooo used to losing now you don't even hear anymore chants for that GM to be canned. Its working cause I can't even think of his name now.
