umm. no. it's over foreign policy. obamessiah wanted foreign policy first and everything else on the later debates.
mccain doesn't want them at all.
Fairly smart strategy. He's seen as weaker on foreign policy, so having it be the first and nothing but a fading memory by the time the polls open is smart. If he does better than expected he could build on the momentum and create an unbreakable lead.
Of course, the second being the town hall (does anyone thing Obama will do anywhere near as well as McCain in that setting?), it could easily snowball the other way if he does poorly in the first debate.

HUSSEIN's problem in a debate could be that he actually tries to think before answering, and answers formally, rather than the fake "I'm-having-a-beer-wid-y'all" informality of McWorse.
