Reader's Digest has a must read article on fixing health care. Common sense ways to slash $2 trillion of cost each year. One of the claims is that reducing type 2 diabetes in half would save medicare. As many of you know, the medicare problem will make subprime look like the good 'ol days.

It will be nearly impossible to reduce health care revenue to BigPharma, doctors, hospitals. They make $Bs and will NEVER give it up because, like the finance industry, they own enough Congressman to protect their revenues.

A huge amount of sickness is self-inflicted, so yes, only eating correctly and being fit would greatly reduce the national cost of illness, to say nothing of having a higher quality of life.

But once you ever get sick, esp chronically, the healthcare system is gonna you over and suck your bank account dry. The free market at work.
