Ime hasn't consistently displayed the skillset that the Spurs wanted when they signed him. I wouldn't be surprised if the Spurs made one of their small cost-cutting trades involving him (and Vaughn, hopefully).
Jeff McDonald: Under the weather, Udoka staying home
The Spurs will be short-handed for Thursday's game at Denver. Ime Udoka, a reserve swingman, is battling the flu and will not make the trip.
Though depth is always appreciated when a team plays in the mile-high al ude of Denver, Udoka has been sort of an odd man out of the Spurs' rotation since Tony Parker and Manu Ginobili returned from their respective ankle injuries.
He logged just four minutes in Tuesday's loss to the Pistons.

I wouldn't mind trading Ime. Especially for a draft pick of some sort.
I had hoped for more from Udoka this season and I've been disappointed so far. I thought with training camp and more time in the system under his belt that we'd see him give us some needed energy and defense off the bench. I'm not sure what to expect from him anymore.
Good...stay home. The minutes he might have played will almost certainly wind up in the hands of someone more productive.
does ime even have any trade value?
I think he has some trade value. I could see him traded for a 2nd rounder to a playoff team in the East like the Raptors maybe.
Pop gave him flu covered blankets.
I hope the flu doesn't make its way through the team.![]()
He looked "off" last night.
This explains it.
Udoka is short and slow. It's not the best start when you should be an elite perimeter defender.
I doubt he will be one day more than an end of the bench player for Spurs who will be mainly used when Spurs play some small ball.
Agree
His D is overated
If only the spurs could land Pietrus
thank god that 3 year 12 million contract is really 2 years 2 million.
because he's a defender who can shoot 3s, and most of all NOT injury-prone I cannot give up on Ime yet.
sorry.
let's try to talk how to blend the Spurs not trade, pls.
Ime has completely sucked this year but i cant give up on him. hopefully he proves me right.
Ime was off because Pop didn't play him at all the entire game and then finally subbed the dude in the fourth quarter when the team was completely unravelled. Ime has been up and down this season (mostly down), but to expect something out of the guy in that situation is a little unrealistic.
