can naz dunk it like rasho though?
MPG 18.0
FGP .304
FTP .500 (Spur material!)
PPG 3.2
RPG 3.6
APG 1.0
BPG 0.6
Pop may be bringing him in to make Rasho look better.
can naz dunk it like rasho though?
For comparison, Malik's last five games:
MPG 24.0
FGP .559
FTP .700
PPG 11.3
RPG 7.8
APG 1.3
BPG 1.0
Clearly, once you are in Pop's doghouse, you never get out.
Rose's last 5 games!
6 points 4 boards 19 minutes
12 pts 15 rbs 29 min
DNP Coach's Decision
8 pts 5 rbs 18 min
19 pts 7 rbs 30 min (Duncan out this game)
Those were pulled from Yahoo, so actually it's his last four games.
So your point is?
Maybe he knew he was on the block. The uncertainty does have an adverse affect on some players.
If true, then that's just the sort of mental toughness we need for a championship run.
Malik has always played knowing he was probably on the block.
Who really knows? He may have just been in a slump because his season stats are fine. The Knicks aren't really a cohesive unit you know. I'm sure we could find a stretch of five of Malik's games this year where he wasn't too stellar either.
Yeah, but Nazr has been in a continual slump since Jan 1.
On Jan 1 he was averaging 12 and 9, and shooting 53%.
Over the past month (from Yahoo), he's 7.8-5.7-47%.
And, just another thought: the last Spur mid-season trade was over nine years ago.
Also with the Knicks.
We got Charles Smith.
(I know, not really pertinent, but just something else to make those against this trade pissed.)
Did his minutes go down during that time?
And then there was Charlie Ward last year... Spooky. And, just another thought: the last Spur mid-season trade was over nine years ago.

There's no way to quickly assess that from Yahoo.
Making a guestimate from the game logs, I would say yes, but not a gigantic dropoff:
http://sports.yahoo.com/nba/players/3272/gamelog
But why? It ain't like the Knicks have another big man to take minutes from him. I'm unaware of any injuries.
Um, yeah. Ugh. Thanks for reminding us.
Hopefully this will work out well. Otherwise, we may have to ban Pop from getting any more Knicks.

See the tendency for yourself:

his MPG for jan/feb are way down vs nov/dec.
His Feb stats are way down across the board. Seems like he has developed problems with the coaching change and GM?
Well, that could never be a problem here.
WARD was not a trade,he was release by the knicks
But we still got him midseason after he was a Knick.
Nazr is probably a better point than Ward, so no worries.
Groin injury.
Next.
Um, he's not been playing well since before the groin injury.
New coach.
Groin injury.
Sweetney.
Take your pick.
Even if he just puts up his February averages, we'll be fine.
Exsqueeze me?
If he puts up his Feb averages, then we'll have two Rasho's instead of one.
Maybe I'm by myself, but I was hoping for more than that for Malik and two #1s.
Considering Malik's contract, I'm surprised we got a guy who is capable of playing the way Nazr did earlier in the season.I was hoping for more than that for Malik and two #1s.
