There used to be a man at the Eisenhower flea market that would fix any TV for 50.00 dollars.
Or you can do it yourself.

We have an older Big Screen that we keep up in the game room for the kids to use that needs to be cleaned and probably have some parts replaced on it. The picture is very light and you can see color lines going through it no matter how much I try and adjust it.
I just wonder if it is worth trying to repair and keep, or should I chunk it and get a new TV. It is a 60' projection tv. Probably 5-7 years old?
Has anyone had any luck with a good company that does good work and doesn't want to rip you off? If it is gonna be a few hundred dollars, I'd just rather get rid of it I think...
Any advise would be helpful! THANKS

Get a new TV.
it gets pretty expensive to have a tv repaired. for kids....get used
You might be better off just buying someone else's 3-4 year old similar-type TV off Craigslist since they go pretty cheap.
Fixing this TV would make as much sense as taking a hamster or gerbil to the vet.
