Orlando >>> Philly
I don't want to hear anyone moan for a while about being too tired on back-to-backs after a depleted Pacers team with only 9 players won tonight on the road after losing a double overtime game last night and having to fly to Philly. Now granted Philly is not a very good team, but the Pacers were missing Granger, Murphy, and Daniels to the flu- Baston to back problems- and Dunleavy still has not played a regular season game. Ford is not supposed to be playing on his groin, but he played a combined 72 minutes in two nights. They were so low on players they played a three PG line-up at one time!
If nothing else, they are a fun group of guys to watch and they play hard. They make their mistakes, especially the young guys, but they sure do enjoy playing basketball, and they fight on no matter what the cir stances. I just wish they could catch a break. They had the most awful schedule in the NBA and then when it got easier, everyone got really sick!
Spurs>>>>>Pacers (especially without Granger, Daniels, Murphy, and Dunleavy)
So it does not really matter, now does it.
Anyone notice that Granger is brought up a lot in the media now, and every time he's talked about they say no one talks about him? It gets annoying.
Toronto ed up letting Ford go and keeping Calderon. Both good players, but an aggressive, creative player like Ford is exactly what Toronto needs, regardless of what the stats comparison shows between the two.
