I agree.
He's been having an incredible start to this season, but I'm still not yet sold that he can be an All-Star PG in this league.
IMHO teams have been defending him wrong all season long. The Lakers defended him perfectly tonight. Put Kobe or Ariza on him (preferably someone with length and height advantage over Rondo) and play way off him. Basically dare him to shoot, which he won't. He gets 90% of his assists off of fake penetration to the hoop dishes to 3pt shooters.
His starst are uber-inflated because of the company he plays with. Take those players off the Celtics and he's a very good defensive PG who can't shoot a lick. In fact, I thought at times he was a liability to the Celtic's offense because he couldn't shoot. Kobe could basically play free safety in the paint all night.

Rajon Rondo and the Celtics just beat a team they were supposed to beat in the Finals.
So were the Lakers just beating a team they were supposed to beat in the WCF?

It wasn't a comeback. I was simply stating that this thread was about the Lakers and Rajon Rondo.
RayJohn Rambo is good in an annoying way like Steve Nash or in the same way Suns fans wanna see Tony Parker get put on his ass every time he drives.
He is an All Star I can't understand why Iverson is getting more votes. Rondo is playing well and the Celtics are the best team in the NBA. It should be Wade and Rondo in that game.

I think he's infused with Celtic hype. If he makes the All-Star team...
Barea would be getting the same hype if he were the Celtics starting PG.
Rajon is the kind of guard that the Lakers can handle because of Bynum. Rondo is speedy but his shots all come inside the paint.
If Rondo had a jumpshot, he'd be a horror for the Lakers but his lack of outside shooting makes him easy for the Lakers to defend.
Rondo has improved largely due to how much better his shot has been. It's still wildly inconsistent and it's a shot the Celtic's opponents should be happy he takes if he takes it.
Right now he wouldn't be very good on his own but he's on the right team so he can play well now and develop confidence slowly. Tony Parker was in the same situation. They were never told to do anything they were uncomfortable doing when they first entered the NBA, and they were toughened up quickly because they were the guy the other team picked on. Rondo will eventually be a good player on his own but isn't right now. That's just my .02

When you're on a team with a bunch of good players it's easy to look good. I can remember when Toni Kukoc, Steve Kerr, and Bill Cartwright were awesome, then you put them other teams and they suck... even off the court Kerr still sucks!
Don't be suprised to see him push the tempo if he can because of this whenever they happen to play again this season.
House won't always be 1-5 either.
Rondo should not be the strater starting backcourt should be Ray Allen (dont like him but it's true) and Wade end of discussion.
the rest should be Howard bron and KG ...I would of voted Bosh in early season but KG is better all around ...Bosh has come back 2 earth
