Game blog: Spurs vs. Grizzlies
By Joe Alexander
The Spurs have won 10 of their last 12 games heading into tonight's meeting with the Memphis Grizzlies at the AT&T Center.
The Spurs are coming off a thrilling 91-90 victory over the Phoenix Suns on Christmas afternoon - nailed down by Roger Mason Jr.'s game-winning 3-pointer at the buzzer.
The Spurs have been keeping busy - this is their fifth game in seven days. After tonight, they have two days off before play at home again on Tuesday against the Milwaukee Bucks.
The Spurs beat the Grizzlies 94-81 on Nov. 24 in Memphis.
The Grizzlies are playing the second game of a back-to-back. They beat the Indiana Pacers 108-105 on Friday night in Memphis. Hakim Warrick came off the bench to score 21 points for the Grizzlies. Read the Grizzlies-Pacers game story in the Memphis Commercial Appeal.
O.J. Mayo vs Manu tonight should be interesting
You called it. I think Bruce Bowen will be played more today and frustrate Rudy Gay on defense completely.
We will probably be stuck with the Grizzlies call. It wasn't horrible last time though.
Bruce is not enough to lock up Rudy Gay, at least we also need Uduka and Mason to do some work.
Grizzlies call on LP.
...and Grizzlies call it is.
Yes...I tried to beat you that time.![]()
Time for George to show something again this game, its been a while since he has shown us what hes fully capable of.
Also on radio
NBA.com sucks big time. Of 5 games they have 1 on Spurs radio
to NBA.com Radio
Man I'm gonna have to pony up 189 bucks to get the NBA League pass.
Tired of hearing the Radio broadcasts.
Interesting line up for the Griz. Who is guarding Bonner, Rudy?
Rebounding.
LP has only had a few Spurs call games all season. I'd be happy if we'd just get half the games with our call. Fair is fair.
It's worth it. I've had it for years, I don't know how I'd survive without it.
I've always been able to split the payments up over 3 or 4 months, depending on the cable company. Ask yours, it makes it a little easier to pay for.
Pop going small very early
Grizz killing us on the boards
Fin with 3 assists
Finley with 3 assists already.
