Here in Valentine, NE we got as low as -39 with the wind chill in early December.

I've never experienced cold like that. (I grew up in AZ and lived there until 2006)

We had temps like that for about a week.

Unbelievable. I'd warm up my ride for 30-35 minutes to go to the store and just leave it running in the parking lot. We had to keep our cars running at the house for a short period of time every few hours just to make sure they wouldn't freeze and not start the next day.

My chow chow would refuse to go outside. He'd run out do his thing and knock on the door.

That arctic air mass is heading our way next week. Look for teens in the mornings on Thursday/Friday and possibly not even getting above freezing during the day...
