Looks like a change of coaches did nothing to alter Carmelo Anthony's me-first at ude. It seems that he was so upset at being bench-bound last Friday for the last seven minutes of Denver's OT win in Memphis, that not-so-'Melo threw a towel at George Karl. Afterward, Anthony refused to talk to the media.
Notice that whenever an NBA player gets himself into trouble, he's quick to say something about turning the page and moving on. As if delivering that kind of mealy-mouthed pap wipes the slate clean, and gives the perpetrator a license to make a fool of himself again and again.
There are also disturbing reports that LeBron James is also acting increasingly haughty and egomaniacal in his dealings with civilians. If Paul Silas can't straighten out LeBron, then nobody can.
It says here that Anthony and James are two more casualties of the too-much-too-soon syndrome that has ruined the psychological balance of so many NBA hooplings.

the league shouldn't suspend him over that. the nuggets could, but i doubt they would.

Carmelo claimed he was throwing it in the direction of James Posey, saying that they were joking around. This happans to be in the game where Karl benches his ass and Carmelo rode the bench out in crunch time. I hate how he uses the Ashlee Simpson (why the do i know how to spell her first name?) method of PR, use a lame excuse bc there all idiots. Surprised that this story is actually a current event now.

It was because the guy was actually the son of the reporter interviewing 'Bron and they have a policy of media members and there crew (he got backstage using the press credentials) not allowed signatures.
I believe it was actually after a win too so its not like he was pissed bc they lost and refused.

I thought LeBron had his head screwed on straight as well until our last game against them. He seemed to be whining pretty badly about the calls he was getting - or not getting. I don't remember offhand if he had a legitimate reason to be upset but regardless, he was acting very much like he was en led to a lot more respect.
Pretty haughty, especially for a sophmore. Maybe this "King James" stuff is starting to go to his head. With so much hype for someone who's still a teenager, it's hard to argue the NBA isn't part of the problem. I'm pretty sure I read a recent article with quotes about how he felt he was getting a raw deal from the officials. Even the supposedly humble "King James" seems to be suc bing to the hype. It's too bad because up until now, I thought he was the exception to the rule that most NBA rookies are all me-first types who think they're en led to greatness.
Actually, Lebron had a fair beef... he WAS getting fouled. I haven't seen him complain alot to the refs.... maybe it's just me but I don't think it's the hype.. he would've folded a long time ago. He's very humble and is not a ME-FIRST team player like Carmelo.
To put in presepctive - the Spurs were whining to the refs too.
