Tony Parker In San Antonio, Estate of the Day

Eva Longoria Parker and Tony Parker have been working on a huge San Antonio mansion for a while. It must be close to completion because according to the Wall Street Journal's Private Properties, the pair have listed Parker's previous San Antonio home for sale. The five-bedroom stucco house is a comparatively modest home on .65 acres that include a pool and a half basketball court featuring the logo of Parker's team, the Spurs. The home is in a gated community and it has tile floors, a large kitchen and a master suite that has a double sided fireplace that opens to a whirlpool tub in the master bath. Other spaces include a wood-paneled study and a media room that leads to an outdoor terrace. Parker bought this home for $782,040 at the age of 19 in 2001 and added the pool and basketball court. This home is listed at $895,777.

It's just the listing place my friend. I'm pretty sure it'll sell for over 1 mil. However this is probably the worst time to sell though.

In S.Cal, that would be several $M.

    $900K is a steal.

Why is a house built-to-order listed?

It's a big part of the reason real estate prices are plummeting on the West and East Coasts. People pay over 3 times as much for the same crap as they can get here. Problem is: Salaries don't match the price differences.........

A 50 year mortgage in Cali is a common thing. I almost choked when I heard that.

Yeah, on your average 30 year note you pay 3 times the purchase price by the time you're done. People with a 50 usually die before they pay off........sad.

It's not even 1 acre so under a mil is reasonable here in S. Texas.

Even though the natl economy is , Texas is one of the least affected states.

Before the collapse, the Texas coast was turning into the next Florida coast just with ty humidity. In fact, I watched as these assholes from the West/East coast retired down here and tippled bay front real estate value

Times have changed. A mortgage nowadays is a tool to own a home. Not really a loan that's gonna be paid in full at the end of term. Almost nobody stays in the same house for 50 years, let alone 8-10 years.

I lived in Los Angeles for 17 years and never heard anyone having a 50 year mortgage. About 90 percent of people I knew had 30 year, though. I just rented. Much cheaper. My $2,000 a month rent was lower than the mortgage would have been if I would have bought that house.

When I moved in San Antonio, I was shocked that houses still existed under $200K in a city.

    I like the court.
I noticed the court has a giant Nike swoosh.. I wonder if Nike shouldered the cost to put in the court?

Some time ago, some posters were citing the Parker mansion as proof that Tony would be putting down roots in SA and would possibly be a Spur for his entire career.. guess this proves otherwise.

They're selling this one because their new one is about done.
