The cliche answer is Walt Clyde Frazier.
I agree, AI's pretty ing cool.
Are you kidding me?
Baron Davis, he has not shot over 50% this season. Even if he did, he is still extremely cool about his FG%.
thuggin and buggin white chocolate Jason "J-Dub" Williams
you're the coolest, raper. it always stays cool even when you do it with your wife and your mom, and that gives them more excitement than a warm one can do.
that's why none of those victims has ever considered charging you, they enjoyed those moments when you did it to them. you're surely the coolest raper of all time.
Ron Harper was cool as and picked up rings in five of his last seven seasons.
Last night...I'd say Dirk...I mean he was practically frozen sourkraut.![]()
Scott Hastings. That guy was cool.
If we're talking about more recognizable names, I'd throw in Charles Barkley's name. Barkley was cool because he just didn't give a what anyone said or thought and he spoke his mind. Still does. There's something to be said of being a real muhfukka.
First name that came to mind was who ballijuana mentioned, Clyde Frazier. Doesn't get cooler than being a "pimp" in New York in the 1970s.
Charles Oakley. He's a bad man. I bet he could go out there right now at 46 or whatever he is and lock people up.
+1 on Ron Harper
Also:
Bison Dele (aka Brian Williams, not a character from the Street Fighter series)
George Gervin
Dominique Wilkins
John Salley
I was glad Harper got those rings. He was really treated unfairly by the Cavaliers, his reputation was tarnished by the talk that he was some kind of bad seed, and it was nice to see him vindicated.
How was Ron Harper treated unfairly by the Cavaliers? I don't know the story.
I was always under the impression he didn't stay there because he blew out his knee and lost all his athleticism.
I mean, he got really fortunate to tag along with Mike and Shaq and Kobe for a few rings. I don't know if he necessarily "vindicated" himself of anything. But, again, I don't know what he needed to be vindicated of.
At least one of Harper's rings was handed to him on a silver platter by David Stern and Bavetta.
Harper was traded because Gordon Gund didn't like the people he was associating with, and thought he was bad for the chemistry of the team. The implication was that he was a shady character with shady associations who needed to be quarantined from the choirboys we had on the team at that time. Coming on the heels of his time at Miami of Ohio, where he struggled to fit in as an urban black kid with a speech impediment in a preppy upper-middle class environment, it was a low blow.
Harper didn't hurt his knee until he was with the Clippers. While he was in Cleveland, he was probably the most talented wing player this franchise had before LeBron.
From what i hear from many people...i hear Robert Horry is THE coolest dude.
He walks into places and just has a swagger that very few NBA players have. Kinda like a fonzi vibe.![]()
