This looks like a good bump thread in June.
I figured I'd take some time and laugh at your expense. Your team has earned the le fakers. I know Boston is the defending champs but we are the current representative in the west for an nba le (not your fakers). And if my memory serves me well the last time we made it to the nba finals we came home with gold not excuses. Oh i,m sorry you are 0-2 the last two times you got there( SAD) and yeah you did beat us last year to get there and you proved many critics even myself right. (YOU CANT WIN THE BIG ONE NO MORE.)So until you win another le (its been A while ha.)forward your hatredto the Boston Celtics. Records dont matter(JUST ASK DALLAS.)

There are no representatives to the Finals yet. We have a little thing called the playoffs to go through first.
Right now, scoreboard is to the Lakers. As a Spurs fan, I hope that changes.

the Lakers beat the Spurs last year. They are the Western Conference champs. For now they have scoreboard.

I have to admit Fakers are a good team and our guys in blue will hardly beat the fakers with our current squad if we eventually face them there. Our guys in blue will definitely be dashed badly and wiped out by the fakers if we don't make any move, but our team will change roles with fakers if we can sign a decent center before the post season.
Presuming that Donnie Nelson can get smart for one second and sign O'Neal right after he gets waived by the suns, then our team will definitely be the most favourite team in the west or even in the whole league. Our team has plenty of talent and cash and our guys in blue are mostly engaged professional players except George, the only thing that has been holding back our team is just our crevice at the 5. Dampier used to be the "second best center in the west" but his competence has depressed alot due to aging, now we have the chance to replace him with O'Neal who was the first best center in the west. surely O'Neal will be an upgrade over Dampier and the combo of shaq and Dampier at 5 will definitely make tons of troubles to any good center like Howard and Yao.

I think that the Spurs are having a great season & may possibly knock the Lakers out of the playoffs…Coach Pop is amazing the way he is able to put together a squad “season after season” that plays team ball & has good chemistry…The Spurs fans are possible the most loyal & knowledgeable fans in the NBA…And the SBC center looks pretty cool…Also Tony Parker is the best point guard in the NBA…
That’s all the smack I have for now…

The Lakers are a great team and are the measuring stick of the west. I do not think that this game is a "statement game" one bit. I might call it one if both teams were healthy. Nonetheless it should be a uva game.

I myself have a lot of respect for the Lakers and correct me if Im wrong but they are No. 1 right now in the west standings, right? Ill add here I do think we can and should win tonight if we can control scoring from everybody not named Kobe. Give him his 40 and shut everyone else down and we win.

O'neal sucks and will ruin your team like he did the suns. Remember when they made the trade they were 1st in the west, a short year later they won't make the playoffs. Have'nt you learned about trading for older players? Anyway the mavs, more so shaq.

If Jerry Buss ever decides to move the team to San Fernando or Fresno, it will sound much better.
i rather lose in the earlier rounds then make a fool out of myself losing by 40pts in a deciding game....fakers
the sad thing that is the only thing you spurs fans have to go on to make up for your failures to repeat championships

I don't think I could of said it better myself. But then again nobody expected the lakers to go that far but they did. They over achieved last year.. this year anything other than a le is underachieving for them.

The Lakers are held to a higher standard than any team in the NBA, including the Celtics.
They aren't allowed to go on two decade long slumps. They are pretty much expected to compete and win les every year by their fans and their haters. It sets up unrealistic expectations IMHO.
If I told you the Spurs would win at least 3 les in the next decade and make the finals 5 times most of you would think that would be a rousing success. But somehow this is a failure for the Lakers. Go figure.
