So here's the deal. I have an e-mail address that I've been using for the past month that should work on outlook/Thunderbird just fine. Other people I work with use it (but then again they have different phone lines)
I've only been able to access the e-mail online through the webmail for the past month and I'm fed up with it. I want to be able to access it through outlook or Thunderbird.
Outlook sends e-mails, Thunderbird receives them. Neither of them do both. When I run the test for Outlook, you know...the one when you set up the account..., everything goes well green checks and everything..but then I never get the test e-mail in outlook. It goes to webmail and to Thunderbird. And in Thunderbird it says "SMTP refused or unavailable."
We have AT&T phone lines and apparently they block ports 110 & 25 (or used to and I'm still having problems with this). I've put in port 995 for incoming and 587 for outgoing on both and they still won't work (with SSL). Any insight computer gods on what ports or what i can do to fix this problem? I really want (and need) to use my e-mail in outlook or Thunderbird!

Jack ass. I actually fixed it in Thunderbird within minutes of posting this. It's all good.
Was it a PICNIC error?
Was the ID 10 T switch set to ON?
What's your work email address, let me make sure it works.
Thunderbirds was a horrible movie.
