I am gonna try to stop watching porn. I watched True Life: I'm addicted to porn last night, and I had too much in common with those guys.
SACRAMENTO, Calif. -- Hundreds of students at the University of California Davis will take a break from their studies to watch some school-sanctioned pornography.
Organizers told TV station KCRA that students can watch "Pirates II: Stagnetti's Revenge" for free Thursday night.
"To me, it's a joke," one UC Davis student said.
"When I heard about it I was kind of shocked, but not too shocked," said UC Davis student Katie Gross.
The film is part of an educational effort by the school's Entertainment Council.
"It is supposed to be a light-hearted event," said Golda Criddle, with the Entertainment Council.
She said it's an educational tool, albeit a strange one.
"We will have a speaker that will talk about porn fantasy issues before the screening," Criddle said.
Most students KCRA reporters spoke to shyly admitted they were curious, while others said they had already seen it.
The Entertainment Council did not advertise on flyers. They said they didn't need to for this kind of film and already more than 500 people sent an RSVP stating that they are coming via Facebook, yet the theater only seats 440.

What? Are you ok?What makes you think you are addicted?
i'm sure attendance will rise.
I just have to watch it. I probably watch it a minimum of 1 hour a day.
That's only a problem if you are watching while @ work!
At home it's ok.
When I was in school, I'd watch it on my phone sometimes. Not that much though.
Membership of the Porn RTF club will swell.
The will regret when they get the cleaning bill. No way they can stop hundreds of students from beating the meat.
Taking roll that day will be a breeze, everyone will be in attendance.![]()
Damn, I like porn too, but you only need it in 5-minute increments.
Oh well. I went about 12 hours.
It's good to know that parents' hard-earned $$$, as well as our tax dollars, are being put to such productive educational use as at UC-Davis. If only all of our leading universities would forget boring stuff like engineering, chemistry, medicine, and economics, and focus on the stuff that really matters, like porn -- then our country would be #1 again.
Seriously ... the stuff that goes on on our campuses.
