The Chicago Bulls announced Monday that guard Ben Gordon suffered a strained left hamstring in Sunday's double-overtime win against Boston and is day-to-day.
Gordon left Sunday's 121-118 triumph in Game 4 of Chicago's Eastern Conference quarterfinal set against the Celtics in the second quarter with the injury.
He was evaluated by Bulls team physician Dr. Brian Cole, and an MRI exam taken earlier Monday confirmed the diagnosis.
Game 5 of the series, which is tied at two games apiece, takes place in Boston on Tuesday.

If this was a regular season game Tuesday, Ben would sit out. However, if there is any way he can walk, he will play. May not be effective, but he will try.
If he does not play, they will lose. It is unfortunate because Rose has been playing very well.
Gordon not playing would suck. This has been a terrific series.
As a fan in general, I want Ben Gordon to play because that makes the series more exciting.
As a Celtics fan, I can only hope that this is true. (I'm not for rooting for big injuries, but since KG is out for the playoffs, I'm ok with leveling the playing field. Yes, I'm a homer.)
He's listed day to day... so I guess he'll see how it feels after the shoot around tomorrow.
I hope Gordon sucks it up and plays and scores 40 something in game 5. I really don't want the Celtics to get out of the 1st round.
they might as well forfeit the next game
well, if Gordon can't play, i hope someone else steps up and has a big game.
