Huh?
They didn't have a chance... Pop never gave them a chance. He played a ty lineup, he wasted another year of Duncan's life, and he lost almost every spurs fan that actually believed in him.
Where are the articles about his ty decisions? Dude is frickin untouchable... I am done, I will never spend another dime on this team and their stupid ass philosophy...
Also, this new Sprite commercial is bad ass.
Go!
Huh?
They won probably the toughest division in the league. Not that bad considering...
Exclusions Fine Print:
However, Birthday and Christmas gifts will be accepted. Also, purchasing Spurs merchandise, tickets and refreshments at Spurs GTGs will be done with pennies, nickels, quarters, Susan B's, paper and plastic. Member FDIC. Includes lifetime brake pads, labor charged separately.
I think about 25 other teams in the league would say otherwise
I concur.
BRING BACK JOHN LUCAS!!!!
Right Sequ?
Since you said Lucas > pop
Things have changed..Southwest Division used to be the hardest but not anymore....Top teams dont roll out in Texas anymore..even Cavs who got swept by Spurs turn into a way too much better team than Spurs. You have to honestly admit Spurs play really sucks and cannot handle tight schedule...I saw Celtics playing triple OT games w/Bulls in 7 games series...and today played hard until the end despite being tired from long series. Spurs normally empty the bench in 3rd quarter when got blown out. Regular season I get it,but playoffs? Some stupid guy in forum said its stupid to keep starters in blowout. But how bout Dallas starters? They play the same minutes as Spurs starters but they look much more aggressive and energetic. They stayed in court and enjoy every single minutes torturing Spurs reserves who look real lost out there. That stupid guy should be proud for the result of conserving starters energy in playoffs. Or maybe Spurs starters just need extra rest...Tony is outstanding out there, but everyone else look rusty. Even Duncan was not as aggressive as before..
Drinking heavily on a Tuesday, eh?
Agree Pop should change his at ude and admit something totally wrong is going on..and unless he make a change...then its going to be same old and Spurs never win championship again....Spurs sucks and i bet impact players will be more reluctant to come to SA, unless FO hit by thunder and suddenly willing to spend more on quality players. They should think of clearing up some unproductive players and make salary cap to get someone who can make impact
Isn't alcohol banned for such little persons?
friends don't let friends drink and post.
can we consolidate all his negative into 1 big thread? it would stay on the front page and unclutter the forums. win win!
What did you expect with Manu being out half of the season?
No Manu = Spurs sucking, no matter how well Tony plays.![]()
I'm just ready for the Spurs to get some young talent, and for Pop to LET THEM PLAY WHERE THEY NATURALLY PLAY...
not force them into other positions that they don't play

We truly have a lot of talent in the Spurs. Some of which have be dogged here on several forums. (Bonner got everything he deserved out here!) It's all in how these players are being utilized....Knowing when & when not to play them. We can talk about what should have been, what to expect next season, what changes we need to make.....but, here's REALITY. Pop is a stubborn, arrogant . He coached like this season...I said it once & will say it again. We were a waste of a good playoff spot this season.
Yep, pretty much...
When Manu was on court we were a 70% winning team, that is awsome considering that some of that time either parker or duncan were injuried and that our cast is completed by a bunch of guys moving on wheelchairs.
The Spurs did more than fine when they were healthy but they along with every team in the West is outmatched by the Lakers.
Matt Bonner as a starter has been one of the worst moves for the ogranization and if Oberto didn't have a heart condition he'd probably have taken a lot of the minutes. Healthy Oberto > Bonner.
From starting 0-3, to losing manu for a good chunk of the season, to losing to a very young OKC team, this spurs team just wasn't playing well from the start. There were problems everywhere but rather poor adjustments made. Even when they brought in Mensa-Bonsu and let him go for gooden didnt seem like that great of a move. Combine that with the overall age of the club and you have our season and playoff demise.
